Team

Every fish, every cloud, every reflection, every student, teacher and interaction is an integral part of the Mana Toa team.

Nothing is separate.

PATRICK AH MU

Principal Founder & Partner

Native to Hawaii and the North Shore of Oahu, Patrick Ah Mu’s understanding and investment in experiential education goes back to the early ‘90s.

At 17 years old, for his Eagle Scout project, Patrick built a ropes course and worked on it throughout the following year guiding peers and adults through their experience.

His real passion and dedication for this work, specifically the therapeutic element, came to rise during his years spent in the wilderness as a field instructor at a well known wilderness therapy program. During this time, his love for the therapeutic process would develop sitting around campfires and hiking through the mountains and desert.

Patrick followed up this experience with 4 years working in residential treatment.

Husband and father to three young children, Patrick loves spending time with his family, reading, surfing, spearfishing, working on art projects, making music, and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
